Description

Part of the In the Beginning - Jaipur collection, the STEPS OF EDEN RUG represents peace and harmony. Inspired by the ancient stepwells of Chand Baori, as well as the early passages of Genesis, the design reflects both architectural rhythm and spiritual origin. Its layered, stepped patterns echo the movement of time and the unfolding of creation, while referencing Jaipur’s historic forms. Evoking the moment the world first awakens, the rug conveys balance, quiet possibility, and the beauty of beginnings.

Handmade exclusively to order, each rug is crafted by master artisans using your choice of hand-knotted or hand-tufted construction. The result is a bespoke piece that carries both story and craftsmanship into your home, making every step across it a return to origins. All rugs from 'In The Beginning - Jaipur Collection' are fully customisable.

• Composition: Wool and Bamboo silk
• Construction:  Hand-knotted or Hand-tufted Ultra HD
• Pile Thickness: Varied and up to 2.5 inches
• Origin: India

Care

To maintain the beauty and integrity of your purchase, we recommend treating it with care. Below are some simple maintenance practices:

  • Shedding is a natural property of a new rug.
  • DO NOT brush or scrub the rug.
  • Only vacuum clean it periodically. Avoid using the vacuum beater brush mode.
  • If spills occur, blot immediately. Do not rub the stain.
  • Rotate occasionally to equalise wear.
  • Use protectors under the legs of heavy furniture to avoid flattening and piling.
  • If the thread comes out, do not pull the yarn; trim with scissors.
  • Periodic professional cleaning recommended.
  • DO NOT fold the rug.
  • Avoid using the rug on damp or wet surfaces.

We encourage you to refer to the care instructions mentioned above with each item, designed to help you keep your purchase in great condition.
